PLUMBING APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
1st Year Course – Introduction to trade, history and careers, common plumbing tools, tool safety fixture and fitting identification, trade mathematics, job safety, introduction to basic code requirements, customer service,installation practices.
42 Weeks Tuesday 6:30pm to 9:30pm
2nd Year Course - Service and repair problems and solutions, basic electricity and applications, residential and commercial fixture installation, local UPC code applications, water, waste, gas systems, job safety, review of customer relations, math, hands-on application of commercial, residential, industrial and new construction. (A list of required hand tools for this class will be handed out the first night of class)
42 Weeks Thursday 6:30pm to 9:30pm
3rd Year Course - Isometric drawing, plan reading, sizing water, gas, waste/vent and certification courses
42 Weeks Wednesday 6:30pm to 9:30pm
4th Year Course - IAPMO UPC Plumbing Code, L.A. City Code, handicap requirements, earthquake valve and seismic requirements, journeyman's exam
42 Weeks Thursday 6:30pm to 9:30pm
